2022-2023

Dear North Families,

Welcome to the North Intermediate School! It is my privilege to serve as the principal of the North.   I look forward to working with families and the school community to ensure that each learner reaches their fullest potential.

As a school community, we strive to provide the best educational experience possible. We have high expectations for all our students in order to ensure success. Our educators will guide your learner on a path that will give them the skills necessary for a successful future.

Education and safety are paramount in all that we do each and every day here at the North. We work hard to utilize and share best practices, integrating academic and social-emotional learning in every aspect of the school day. By teaching and reinforcing expectations, routines and our core values, students can best focus on their most important job - learning.

Our school is filled with enthusiastic student leaders who are ready and willing to learn, supportive families interested in their child's education, and a skilled and dedicated professional staff committed to providing a quality education. The North community loves to learn. This passion for learning is not limited to just students but also includes teachers, staff and families. We believe in strong family partnerships, a safe setting for all to learn and succeed and a supportive environment for educators to further their professional development and become teacher leaders. Our classrooms and hallways are filled with excitement. Our teachers continually look for new and creative ways to engage our students and get them excited about learning.

At North, we foster a safe, caring and nurturing school culture while supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of each student. Our school community is built upon four core values.  The North Core Values are:

  • Respect Everyone, Including Yourself
  • Act Responsibly
  • Practice Kindness
  • Be Your Best Self

Our PAC raises funds and provides a variety of enriching activities and additional resources that benefit our students and build our school community. We are grateful for this important group of volunteers. Please consider supporting our school by becoming an active member of the Northside PAC.

I firmly believe communication is vital. It is my goal to keep the lines of communication open with students, staff, parents and the community. Please refer back to the weekly memo that will serve as a weekly communication tool between us.  Our communication is an essential component to ensure that your child's experience at North is successful.  I am very much looking forward to working with you and your family this year.  Please reach out to me with any questions you may have or support you may need.
